Create Additional Templates with the Theme Editor

Create Additional Templates with the Theme Editor

The eComm Performance v8  includes more controls to customize templates for everything on your store including blogs, pages, collections, and products. You can customize the default template or you can also create distinct templates to offer separate features and content.

Customize the Default Template

Each page on your online store, whether that be your product page or collection, blog page or blog post, etc. has its own default template. You open these templates through the editor's page selector (it is at the center of the top bar). All of the settings for these templates are in the left sidebar.

Default Product

The default template for a product is applied to every product page by default. You can open this template with the page selector in your editor by clicking on "Products" and then "Default Product."

All of the settings and features that are configured in the left sidebar will apply to all products that are assigned to the Default Product template.

Default Collection

This template for default collections is applied to all of the collection pages by default. You can open this template with the page selector in your themes editor by clicking on "Collections", then "Default Collection."

When the settings and features are configured in the left sidebar, the changes will take effect on all of the collections that are assigned to the Default Collection template.

Default page

The Default Page template is applied to all of your static pages by default. You can open this template with the page selector in your themes editor by clicking on "Pages", then "Default Page."

The settings and features can be configured in the left sidebar and will apply to any of the pages that are assigned to the Default Page template.

Default Blog

The Default Blog template is automatically applied to all blog pages by default. You can open this template with the page selector in your editor by clicking on "Blogs", then "Default Blog."

The settings and features can be configured in the left sidebar and will apply to any of the pages that are assigned to the Default Page template.

Default Blog Post

The Default Blog Post template will be applied to all blog articles by default. You can open this template with the page selector in the themes editor by clicking on "Blog Posts," then "Default Blog Post."

The settings and features that are configured in the left sidebar will take effect on all blog articles assigned to the Default Blog Post template.
