Using the Page Section

The eComm Performance theme includes a 'Page' homepage section that has multiple uses. This section allows you to create as many content pages as you would like in your Shopify Admin and then you can add it to your homepage. This section is generally used to include custom HTML content.

If you want to create content for this section, you can go into 'Create a Page' under Online Store > Pages. Even though you are making a separate page, think of it as a placeholder for all of the content you'll be creating.

After you add a page section to your homepage and choose the page you've created, your theme will take the content from this page and place it on your homepage.

Be aware that the section will only use the content (and HTML code) within the page content. It will not include the page's header, navigation, footer, sidebars, etc.

You also have the option to use the column layout to create a page within a page. This means a large section would be used to provide users with useful information without them having to load a separate page.

You also can use this section to add third-party widgets. This includes anything like your social media feeds, videos, certification badges, etc. You can paste the provided code into the code view of the page content and then add it to the homepage section.

In order to add a Page section, click into Customize (your Theme Editor) > Sections > Add Section > Page.

Mobile Layout

When customers view on a mobile device, it depends on what content you have on your page! Let's say the content is just text and images; then this will size down to fit the mobile device's screen. If you added a widget or a third-party code, you might need to add in extra code to ensure everything is responsive.
