ADDING MULTI-TAG FILTERING IN THE SIDEBAR
1.) Navigate into your products menu and begin to add tags you wish to use for the filters. Be sure to add tags to all merchandise you would like to be filtered even if they belong to a collection. As a recommendation take note of all the tags you use as you'll need to know them.

2.) After you have finished tagging all of the products you wanted you will have to navigate to the theme editor where you will be setting up a sidebar which will be used for filtering. To start go to a collection you have created while in the editor, once there you will select the "Collections" menu tab scrolling to the bottom. Find the "Add Content" option and click on it (This will show what options you have for the sidebar you are creating), after this you will then choose "Tag Filter":
- Title the filter.
- Begin listing every relevant tag for that filter (Make sure to separate each tag by a comma), remember to list the tag for every product no matter the collection.

- The tags you are inputting must match the tags names from step 1 EXACTLY
- It is possible to add in a small image file such as an icon or colour swatch beside each tag name, to do this check off the "Display Color Swatches" option.
When adding colour swatches as a tag filter you can add your own .png file of the appropriate colour to your shop's asset folder. While entering filter tags for the colour swatches the name of the filter tag and file name have to match exactly. If you choose not to do this listing a filter tag for a colour will give you a default colour.

3.) Adding multiple filters onto the sidebar of your store can be done by continuing to add "Tag Filter" content blocks. This can be useful for making a customers shopping experience easier and quicker as well as making things more organized.

4.) Once a customer has clicked on one of the tags all of the other tags should become hidden and a new "Clear" option should become available. Selecting this "Clear" link we deselect any filters in that content block and bring back all other options. If you would like the link to say something different than "Clear" it can be changed in the Language editor which is found in the collections tab.

After finishing adding all of the filter you think you will need or do need remember to hit save before navigating away or all progress will be lost.

Although tag filtering is an excellent and helpful feature there are some constraints:
- Shoppers can not filter by multiple tags that are within the same grouping, however you can have groupings that relate to each other to help filter products more accurately.
- Tag filtering will only work on a collection that is being viewed. Every collection within the store will need its own unique tag filtering sidebar.
- Having multiple tags with the same name is not recommended as this will not allow tags to be "Cleared" properly.
