Enabling Recently Viewed Products
Recently Viewed Products can be displayed on the homepage, collection page, and product pages. The layout and number of products (per row and total) can all be adjusted
Homepage
Enabling Recently Viewed Products on your home page can be done by going to: Online Store > Customize (purple button) > Sections > Add Section> Recently Viewed:
Collection Page
Recently Viewed Products can also appear in the sidebar on your collection pages. To turn it on, you will need to go to Online Store > Customize (purple button) > Select Collection Page from the drop down at the top of the page > Click on Collection/Sub-collection > Content > Add Content > Recently Viewed Products:
Product Page
On the Product Pages, Recently Viewed Products can be setup to either show as a section below the product or in the Sidebar. To add it as a section, in the theme editor you will select Product Page across the top from the drop down and then select Product > Recently Viewed Products > Show recently viewed products:
To add Recently Viewed Products to the sidebar instead, click on Product > Content > Add Content, and choose Recently viewed products.
Confirming Recently Viewed Products is Working
Testing Recently Viewed Products is easily done. You will just need to go to your site outside of the Theme Editor and got to multiple product pages to make sure there are some product in your Recently Viewed list.
Recently Viewed Products will need to be enabled of each product template type in use in your store. This can be done by navigating to one of each and following the above steps.
