Setting up Size Charts

Setting up Size Charts

Are you running a store with products that come in all different sizes? If so creating and giving customers access to a size chart can help them decide which sizes are best for them.

Here is a step by step guide on how to create your own size charts:

CREATING THE SIZE CHART:

To begin creating a size chart you must first click Online Store > Pages > Add a Page. Your size chart will be made using a table in which you may insert the appropriate information for your customers and even include any imagery you wish.

CHOICE 1: ONE CHART FOR ALL MERCHANDISE:

Using one universal size guide that covers all of your inventory can make the customers experience easier. If you would like to have it displayed on the page of every product follow these points:

  • Navigate to theme settings by clicking Online Store > Themes > Customize and then click "Product Page".
  • Move to the end of the page and locate the Size Chart list.
  • From the dropdown list select the chart you just created.

Successfully completing these steps will add the link to the Size Guide you created to the page of all the merchandise you sell on your shop.

CHOICE 2: INDIVIDUAL CHARTS FOR MERCHANDISE:

Some products may need their own individual size guide and some may not need one, this will show you how to specify a specific chart to its own individual item:

  • Return to your size guide and locate the page handle.

  • Navigate back to the piece of merchandise you wish the size chart to be used for, add a new tag with the following configuration: "meta-size-chart-page-handle" (page-handle should be replaced with the page handle from the size charts page).

  • Continue doing the first two steps for any other products and size charts you may need to do.
  • Lastly navigate through Theme Settings > Product Page > "Size Chart" where you can decide to get rid of the size guide or leave it and not have any selected pages for it.
Successfully completing these steps willadd a unique size guide link to the products that you have specified with meta-size-chart tag, any products missing said tag will not display any link to the size guide.

LAST TIP: RENAMING SIZING GUIDE LINK

Navigate through Online Store > Actions > Edit Language find the tab labelled "Product" and move down the page until you come across a field for "Size Chart" and enter the name you wish to use for the chart and click "Save".
