Using MailChimp with SSD eComm 1.5+

To begin navigate to the newsletter settings by clicking Online Store> Themes > Customize > Newsletter, the menu you see should display like this:



The text field for the "MailChimp form action URL" should be empty as you will have to retrieve the URL from your own MailChimp account. In order to setup your MailChimp follow along below and we'll walk you through it.

1.) Go To Your MailChimp Account

If you are already in possession of a MailChimp account then proceed to login, however if you are not you can sign up for one at THIS address.

2.) Go To Your List

Head into your lists, if you have not done so already create a list or if you have feel free to use an existing list you already have.

3.) What Is A List?

A list is a space where all of the customers signed up for your newsletter will be sent, you can have multiple lists for multiple different reasons, and you can even name lists to help keep track of what each list is for.

4.) Obtaining The MailChimp URL

In order to obtain the URL you will need choose a list you have or the one you created while following along and go into it by clicking on it. Once you have clicked on one of the lists navigate to the "Signup Forms" tab of the list, it should look something like this:

Now we are going to "Select" the embedded forms option. Once the next page has loaded scroll until you come across the "Copy/Paste onto your site" section. Highlight in grey is the URL for your MailChimp account which is what you will need to copy.

5.) Pasting Your URL

Now return to the newsletter tab for your sit by navigating through Online Store > Themes > Customize and in the "MailChimp form action URL" text field past the URL you just copied.

Don't forget to save now that you are done!
