ENABLING RELATED PRODUCTS

Enabling for Sectioned Themes: Customize > Go to a product page > In Products > Scroll to Related Products > Check "Show Related Products"
 
Enabling for Non-Sectioned Themes: Customize > Theme Settings > Product Page > Check "Display Related Products"

SPECIFYING RELATED PRODUCTS

To specify a certain collection to be a products "related product" follow along with these instructions:

First you will need to create a new collection and fill it with the products you'd like. Scroll down to the bottom of the page of the new collection and click "Edit Website SEO" making note of the products handle.

Now editing the product create a new tag with the name: "meta-related-product-handle-name"  the "handle-name" text should be replaced with the name from the website SEO.
