Using The Testimonials Section on the eComm Performance

Using the Testimonials Section

The eComm Performance theme includes a 'Testimonials' homepage section, which is an easy way for new visitors to see customers' feedback and reviews for your business and products. This area is designed to build confidence with shoppers and show real examples of your products in use by satisfied customers.

The 'Testimonials' section is not only a great way to show actual testimonials, but it can also be used to share other information, such as press mentions, staff favorites, or promotions.

This section displays slides, with each 'testimonial' being a slide. In each slide, you can enable text; you can have an image display in the background, customer name, and a link associated with it, if applicable.

To create a Testimonials section, go into Customize (your Theme Editor) > Sections > Add Section> Testimonials.

Section Settings

The section settings are where you can decide how you want to display your section and its layout.

Content Block Settings

This setting is used to configure each testimonial slide block with the testimonials section. Each testimonial can have a 'background image' that will be displayed behind the text. You also have the option to enable the 'darken background image' setting if you want your text to stand out or if you need to want to add more contrast to the image. You also have the option to enter a 'testimonial title,' 'testimonial,' 'customer name,' 'store name,' and 'store link.' 
You can choose the alignment and position for the text in this setting.



Wide Display

You can display your testimonial section as a 'wide display,' so this section will be spread out across the screen's entire width. If this is not enabled, the section will sit in a 'container' on the homepage and not span fully:

Text Animation

You can add 'text animation' to your testimonial slide's text. This determines how you want each testimonial to load. You have four options: 'None,' 'Fade In,' 'Fade Up,' or 'Fade Down':


Change Testimonials Every

This setting lets you adjust the number of seconds it takes to change each testimonial slide. You can choose from 0-12 seconds. When you select 0, the customer will have to click through the slides instead of automatically changing.

Mobile Layout

If the testimonial section is being viewed on a mobile device, it will remain as a slider that customers can either swipe or click the arrows to go through the slides.
